Double Page Spread: Stand First

Stand first - A stand first is an introductory paragraph in an article that is usually in a bold font or in capitals. This creates a small summary of the article.

When researching other magazine double page spreads it became clear that a stand first was a common feature. So to make my double page spread seem more professional I decided to create a stand first, this is what mine looks like:

I used a bold and large font to make it stand out for the reader and to make it easily readable. The paragraph introduces what the rest of the article will be discussing. It describes Sammi K slightly and states that the article is going find out more about her as a person, I think this will entice readers making it appeal to them.
